Making pots using packaging containers 

Scandiamoss RM20 & RM30 packaging is designed to make a pot without separate container.

If you follow the instructions below, you can make a pretty Scandiamoss pot.

1. Remove all moss from the packaging container.

2. Cut the transparent line at the nottom of the container with scissors. 

3. Cut the bottom support as shown below. 

 4. Place the moss in the container. 

 5. Open the container and shape it. 

 
6. If you want a neat look, stick the protruding side with a tape.

7. Stick the other side in the same way.

SCANDIAMOSS MANAGEMENT METHOD

SCANDIAMOSS is not affected by room temperature and light.

If Scandiamoss is in direct contact with water, it loses all functions. (Do not water)

Scandiamoss, moisture absorber

The shape and feel of the moss change depending on the humidity in the room. In case of 40% and above indoor humidity, the moss absorbs moisture and has soft feeling. In case of 30% and below indoor humidity, the moss loses moisture and has hard feeling. When indoor humidity goes up, soft feeling will be restored.

Heat treatment process creates the core technology which absorbs and discharge the moisture in the air to keep the soft texture of Scandiamoss. Also, heat treatment process with various natural minerals creates diverse colors and effective functions of SCANDIAMOSS.

01 COLLECTION

Collect the moss in the nature

02 DEHYDRATION AND

PRESERVATION TREATMENT

Dehydration (discoloration) and preservation treatment using alcohol, glycerin, polyether diol compound, cyclomethytone, emulsifier, surfactant compound

03 DYEING

Completely dehydrated (bleached) moss is soaked in a coloration liquid (dyeing agent) for about a day to artificially generate an even color.

04 DRYING

Drying 3~7 days in the outside because it is high flammable and has strong ordor. The moss manufactured in this method may look similar, but it has artificial feeling made by chemicals. Unlike SCANDIAMOSS which breathes naturally, they do not have a function to absorb and discharge the air and are easy to catch on fire, showing completely different features from SCANDIAMOSS. 

Similar moss products have been completely bleached and dyed using chemicals have color and feeling like artificaial one. Products produced in this way pollute the environment by generating a large amount of waste during the production process.

as the natural growth environment, so the lowr part attached to the soil comes out dark.

The moss is collected directly from the soil by handwork with care so the moss can reproduce again in the place where the moss was collected without damaging the nature by indiscreet collection.

Reindeer moss, the orifinal raw material of SCANDIAMOSS, is collected accroding to a strict manual to preserve nature. Since the collected amount is small and rare, Scandia is making more effort to develop function preservation technology.
